  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Laura C. -- A must read for anyone touched by the complexity of the questions of sexuality and Christian faith! : Honest and heartwarming, it created nostalgic memories of my own 90’s evangelical upbringing. I was drawn instantly into the transparent and emotional story of both self-discovery and personal faith. Beautifully illustrated to bring its imagery to life, it felt like reading both novel and journal as the author paints her personal story. A must read for anyone, young or old, who has in any way been touched by the complexity of the questions of sexuality and Christian faith! ( Reviewed in the United States on October 19, 2021 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from ReaderWriter -- Important book : This illustrated YA memoir is great for anyone grappling with meshing Christianity with being part of the LGBTQ community. Charming illustrations by the author and heart buzzy romance to boot. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 19, 2021 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from HannahS -- A Book I Wish I Had Growing Up : When you get to see yourself in someone else's story, it is so powerful. There is a sense of relief knowing you are not alone. Growing up Catholic, being gay never crossed my mind until I was in my 20s because it just wasn't an option. I always knew I was different, but didn't have a frame of reference for what it meant to be gay. If I had access to books like Still Stace, I would have been able to uncover my truth sooner. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Charlotte -- This is the book I wish I had read when I was a teen. : This is the book I wish I had read when I was a teen. Still Stace is a raw look at the tumultuous process that coming out can be without succumbing to the tropes that are typically played out in YA fiction. I appreciate Chomiak's honesty and authenticity in telling her story. The book is gentle and fierce in the way that it approaches both Christianity and sexuality, two worlds that can seem impossible to reconcile. However, Chomiak does just that through her journey that I hope encourages other youth to question and fight to reconcile the many facets of their identity. Plus the art is beautiful! • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Amazon Customer -- Liberating coming of age story for people of all backgrounds : Stacey’s ability to eloquently capture the deep sense of shame instilled in us about our sexuality is refreshing, raw and liberating. I’m a straight, secular, CIS woman and I found liberation and strength in the pages of this auto biography. This book will be proudly placed on my bookshelf for my daughter to read once she able.
